I joined a creative writing class a few months ago, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. In our workshops, we are given a prompt to write about for 5 minutes, and the writing piece below is from late November, and the prompt was : " Let me tell you about ... ". I hope you enjoy walking with me and my late November thoughts.
PS. I have also attached a view of the building this piece was written in.

Let me tell you about how I've been feeling recently. Not long ago, I felt like an old shirt no one wants to wear. I felt the dust and the darkness of the closet I was thrown into. It felt like the nights were never-ending, and the sun was on a permanent vacation. Recently, I feel like everyone's favorite party dress. It scares me because I'm not ready to be worn yet. I want to relearn how to shine on my own. I want to sit down with myself. Find her, love her, and make her feel at home. I want to accompany her on the deserted island of her thoughts and emotions. I want to hold her hands and tell her she will be okay. She has always been. She is a glass of red wine, exciting and fearless.
